What is Entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship is the willingness to take risks and develop, organize and manage a business venture in a competitive global marketplace that is constantly evolving. Entrepreneurs are pioneers, innovators, leaders and inventors.
They are at the forefront of technological and social movements – in their fields, in their forward thinking, in their desire to push the envelope. They are dreamers and most importantly – doers.
We define entrepreneurship as the creation and management of a new enterprise to accomplish some objective. Entrepreneurship can be quite small in scale in some cases.
The five elements of successful entrepreneurship are:Altruism, Passion, Mentorship, Belief, and Time!
Entrepreneurship is Altruism. Have you ever noticed how willingly successful entrepreneurs are to share the secrets to their success? This overwhelming need to share so others don’t have to suffer and learn the mistakes that they made along the way is a common trait in every entrepreneur I have ever met!
Have you ever met an entrepreneur who was lacking in Passion? No way! Entrepreneurs are so passionate that trying to get them to talk about something other than their Cause, their Why, is near impossible! Passion is the second element of Successful Entrepreneurship.
Successful Entrepreneurs literally have a Mentor/Coach for every area of their life to ensure that they are playing at the top of their game in all areas of their life.
Entrepreneurship is Belief. Entrepreneurs seem to have an amazing ability to stay in no result for longer!
Entrepreneurs believe in what they are trying to achieve at such a deep level that when they reach the fork in the road where they are all in or all out they are compelled to stick with what they are doing on the deepest level – Their belief is so strong that even when all the results are telling them they should just give up it just isn’t an option for them! No matter how dire the circumstances!
TimeThere is a definite trend in Successful Entrepreneurship which sees the first big success occur at between 3 ½ to 4 ½ years into the journey. The other part of the Time element of Successful Entrepreneurship is the fact that entrepreneurs invest so much of it in what they are doing. They live breath and eat what they are trying to achieve and will invest every available minute into achieving their goals.
